1. How does your editing and payment process work?

Based on the KISS principle, it's as simple as we can make it. You e-mail us your document. It is reviewed by a senior editor, so that we can match your work to the editor or editors most familiar with your subject matter and style. On completion, we send you an invoice through PayPal. Your completed document is returned to you by email shortly after we receive your payment.     Top

2. We need you to work on a set of files that are too large to send or receive via e-mail. Do you provide another method we can use to transfer multiple files?

Yes, we do. For very large files and multiple projects we assign you a secure, password-protected FTP site where you can upload and download your documents.  Top

4. Just how flexible are your 'flexible payment options'?

As flexible as we can make them! If you prefer not to pay by credit card, we accept wire transfers. Installment schemes are also available in certain cases.

5. We're very happy with the edited documents, but we need to make some changes to them
. How much will that cost? Do we have to pay for editing all the documents again?

You certainly don't. The billable amount depends on the number and complexity of changes you make. You will only be billed for the additional work. If the changes are minor, they are considered part of our customer support service and may not even be billable. In any case, you will never be billed anything other than a fair price for additions or modifications to an edited document.

7. Who decides the level of editing?

You do. If you are still undecided, your assigned editor will be happy to give you an objective critique of your work, with suggestions on the level of editing your writing needs.

8. What does 'ongoing customer support' cover?

Depending on the nature and complexity of your completed edit, we offer 1 to 3 weeks of ongoing support to ensure that you are completely satisfied with our work. This follow-up period gives you the opportunity to make minor changes or fine-tune a document at no extra charge.

9. Do you expect formal acknowledgment for the published work?

No, we do not. As a professional editing service, we have no claim whatsoever on your manuscript or your copyright. Your work remains your own intellectual property and your professional relationship with us is strictly confidential. If you volunteer to give us a reference, we may use it on our web site, but only after your formal consent.

10. You mention 'no advance payment'. What, then, are the terms of payment?

As our rates are clearly stated, and based on 'per word', (which means no hidden costs and no unpleasant surprises), the cost of your editing project is readily available.

We believe in the utmost flexibility in our payment schedule. We require NO advance payment before we begin work. However, once your work is completed, we do require you to submit payment before it is e-mailed to you. If your manuscript is lengthy enough to avail of our discounts, we accept payment in two to three installments. For larger projects, or work needed rewriting or heavy content editing, we customize the terms to best accommodate you. If you have any special requests, be sure to include them in your mail when you contact us.

11. What kind of turnaround can we expect?

We pride ourselves on quick turnaround, but the length of your work and the level of editing will largely determine the duration of the project. In most cases we return your 50,000 words within four weeks, frequently sooner. We'll give you a realistic estimate of our delivery schedule when we receive and review your document or your project.

12. Can you handle a project that doesn't fit into any of the services you offer?
Certainly! We've worked on several large projects that don't quite fit into any one genre or editing level.  Tell us exactly what you need and we'll give you a customized per-word rate or a bulk discount package.      Top
